Phosphorus Removal

Phosphorus Removal
More and more rivers and lakes show increasing levels of nutrients. Phosphorus depletes oxygen in water bodies and lead to algae bloom and eutrophication.
Wastewater effluent is an important source of nutrient in water bodies. The majority of advanced treatment systems do little in nutrient removal. Phosphorus removal is traditionally achieved through chemical injections of a liquid based coagulant. This method is more suitable for larger sewage treatment plants where operation staff is available. In most onsite and decentralized applications, more passive and self-operating methods are desirable. Enviro-STEP Technologies offers different passive solutions for these applications.
